It's been a while since I've made time to blog. When you have a grieving four-year-old on your hands, who demands constant attention, it is hard to focus on anything else!
It's a good thing he's cute. That's what we keep repeating, anyway. When he acts out and makes demands and hits his brother and makes big, fabulous messes. We repeat it often, these days, when those emotions just get too big for his body and he can't contain himself anymore.
It is also a great thing that he knows how to show affection.
This evening he dragged me outside after dinner. We admired the moon as we geared up to play on his scooter. He directed me how to play... hide behind the car. Chase me. Kiss me. Now go hide again. No, don't hide there, hide there. Jump out at me.
Then later, after bath, it was hold me. Carry me downstairs. Get out my snack in the blue bowl. Fill a sippy cup with water, please. Sit right next to me.
And it was my pleasure to funnel all this attention on him, especially when my attention is so often pulled to work or the house or other things. It's hard to find solo-time with a child during our busy life, making me relish it all that much more.
Just like Jameson relished the frosting on his cinnamon roll when we stole away for a few moments last weekend.

Christine, My first comment didn't publish!!!!! We appreciate you taking time to publish your life with boys. We love every one of them. Have you talked with J's teachers to see if he is OK there?
Love, Mom
