The examination of the fridge and the cupboard, plus the examination of the appetite and the pro's/con's of what is available versus what is desired. Then add the option of stopping at the store on the way home---or Stefan making a run out--and the world is the limit.
It's our Friday tradition, and we are getting quite good at it. Lighting the grill, opening a beverage of choice, chopping and preparing and letting the work week sink away.
In fact, I count on it to round out the week--to celebrate finishing another week and honoring coming together to start the weekend.
Jameson was solo this week--Alex was still off at camp--and he was lucky enough to have three loving adults pay attention to his needs and admire his Lego creations. (notice he managed to coax chocolate milk out of someone)

And before dinner this little sneaky guy changed into his Washtenaw Dairy t-shirt and just assumed that his adult-types would take him because of the shirt.
Which is totally true.
There's not much you won't do for a child the night before he heads to "Grandma Camp" for six days.
We sure do miss him (and his brother) but is amazing just how much you can get done with you are tending to their needs.
