I like to go biking in the evenings, and I love that he likes to go biking too. There is nothing like the joy in watching his little legs go, propelling his bike with such force. On these summer evenings, we frequently take off on little trips together... to the park, to the store for popsicles, or just around the neighborhood.
There's only one problem: I'm not enough for him anymore.
Me: Jameson, are you ready for a bike ride?
J: Sure. But who else is coming?
Me: Just us. Why, am I not fun enough?
J: Yeah, I need Alex or Daddy to come too.
Ah, well. If I have to take backseat in the "fun" category, it only seems fitting that it is one of these two.
