The end-of-year soccer gift for Alex's team was a maroon hat with "Eberwhite Eagles" inscribed on it. The gift is always picked out by the coach, paid for by the parents, and then handed out with great ceremony upon completion of the season. We've had all sorts of things... medals and trophies were deemed "boring" after a few seasons, so we've had hacky-sacks and soccer socks and other creative ideas. This season, the coach decided upon matching hats, and I couldn't have been more thrilled.
Seriously... I think I'm going to have to get every contentious article of clothing via Alex's soccer coach from here on out.
The boys actually wear them. All the time. To bed, in the car, outside, inside, while playing legos and while doing homework.
Next season... I'm thinking gloves...
