On Tuesdays, Alex rides his bike to soccer practice with a friend, and Jameson and I follow at a slower pace. Jameson's little bike has tiny tires, and he frequently gets worn out on the hills.
He'll command me to stop, and then we walk together. Or, just stop. Stop and look around or talk. Sometimes, when I am lucky, he looks at me with such affection that I'm dizzy thinking of how much I love him.
Other times, he tells me what is on his mind as he slides to a stop. It's always something unexpected. I wonder about the twists and turns his little brain takes as we bike.
"Birds can absolutely be pets, Mama."
Yes, they can. And I absolutely love these little walks/rides with this affectionate little boy.
