Jameson
His ears are specially tuned to the starting of the heater. When he hears it, all activity stops and he runs to the heat vent in the family room. If there's a blanket nearby, he'll create a little tent and delight in the warm air.
Tonight as I got home from work, we switched all his favorite animals from the bottom bunk to his top bunk, and smoothed out all his blankets. It was time to move to the top bunk, Mama. Come help me. After changing the sheets and putting the blankets back, we took a break and came to the kitchen for salsa and chips. We stood, side-by-side, with him standing on a chair, as we enjoyed our snack. We ruined our dinners, together, with that salsa, but reveled in the rare breaking of the rules. The animals, as they are prone to do, talked to J about who deserved what location on his bed, and in time we got them all arranged.
Now, as the fatigue of the day is setting in, I'm looking forward to putting that young boy into the bed with all his "friends" and calling it a night. The day was long but delightful, and we are both tired.
