Alex, in a rare bad mood about winter, asked me yesterday what was "so good about the cold weather". I have a tough time answering that one myself amongst blasts of frozen air, bundling and un-bundling Jameson, and scraping the frost off the car. But on other days, I remember to take time for very important winter work, like breathing in this little guy's chubby arms and soft neck, making lentil soup, and drinking hot tea...
Oh, and running Alex around to yet more birthday parties. It wouldn't be a weekend if there wasn't a party to go to. Last weekend, the party was at "Extreme Bounce Zone," this weekend it was ice skating, next weekend it is rock climbing (my personal favorite).

Obviously, cold weather is good because it makes us appreciate the warm weather.
Cold weather forces us to spend time together as a family and think of ways to entertain each other without turning to violence.
Cold weather is good because it's a great excuse to veg out in front of the TV.
