First, the traditional egg coloring. Jameson needed some guidance, but seemed to enjoy the process. Later he enjoyed banging an egg on the table to crack the shell, mutilating it to get the shell off, and then hiding it until a napkin so he didn't have to eat it.
Second, we had an Easter Egg hunt in the fabulous sunny weather. We color-coded the search (orange, yellow and pink were off-limits to Alex) and had some extra assistants on hand to help with the searching. (Grandparents are very useful that way)
Even better than the searching was the opening of the eggs to see what was inside.
Later in the afternoon, after nice naps and relaxing, we rekindled an Easter tradition we started in Germany--a nice long hike in the beautiful spring weather. We roamed around Bird Hills park before heading to the river so that the boys could throw rocks. (essentially, they put up with the hiking around in the woods so that they could do the super-fun-rock-throwing)
