CUZ-ITS

Over the weekend we were dealing with some difficult issues revolving around Pop's estate. The fortunate thing, however, was that Stefan's sister and her family came into town... that meant there were COUSINS to play with.

Or, if you are Jameson, there were CUZ-ITS to play with. His mispronunciation is so cute that we've all started to call them "CUZ-ITS".

And what fun they have... this little gang of five gets along rather well. Jameson has a special connection with the oldest CUZ-IT, who is nine, and all the parents and grandparents delight is seeing how gentle and loving he is with Jameson.


In these times, particularly, we need moments like that to relish and enjoy.



With all the struggles of the weekend, and the struggles we have ahead of us, I feel fortunate to be reminded by such a happy, cheerful bunch of kids about what's really important:


Enjoying each day and appreciating those we call our family. (regardless of what, exactly we call them, right Jameson?)
