In the cold and dark of January, when we planned this trip to South Carolina, we thought we'd be escaping cold and rain and perhaps even snow. Early April in Michigan is a mixed bag---while there may be some nice days, it is a little more normal to have Easter Egg hunts in snow and cold than in warmth and shorts.
The weather in Michigan today? It could reach the 80's.
The weather in South Carolina? The same.
But, of all the things I could possibly be complaining about now, this is rather frivolous. We are about to embark on a week of connecting with family, hiking, playing, museuming, and all sorts of other fun. This and the fact that we are getting away from the routines of work and school and housework and many of our other responsibilities, and I have absolutely nothing to complain about.
