Happy Holidays, and all that

Happy Solstice, Happy Lunar Eclipse, Happy Birthday (Stefan and Jurate), Merry Christmas, and soon---Happy New Year!

Our annual December sickness stopped long enough for us to celebrate Stefan's 40th birthday. Then we dashed down to Ohio for Christmas with my family, which included inordinate amounts of food, lots of excited boys and tired parents, Christmas cookies, a big family gathering in a beautifully restored house, and a trip to the Air Force Museum. After all, what Christmas week is complete without Stealth Bombers? (in truth, it was a great place to take three very excited boys... who could run around and explore in that huge place without bothering anyone or freezing in the snow)

Stefan and I left to come back up for work while the boys stayed down with the family for a few days. They'll get back today in time to connect with several sets of friends over the next few days as we celebrate the beginning of 2011.

(notes: first three pictures taken by me with my brother's awesome camera... the last two pictures taken by my Uncle Dick on Christmas Day)
