Week in review

Well, we were supposedly back at home, back to the same old grind… and I did go to work and do what was required… but, it still felt kinda like vacation. The week just flew by, from one fun event to the next. The biggest and most important event of the week was STAR WARS CAMP.

Yes, that’s right, Alex spent his days hanging out with 75 other Star Wars obsessed kids (only 4 of which were girls… brave souls). We were entertained in the evening with stories and description and great loads of excitement. There was one moment of sadness, though, when he lamented that they didn’t teach him how to use the Jedi force to levitate objects, but overall he was pleased with the experience. (as were we)



One evening, we had to be out of our house for a showing, so we spent the evening in downtown Ann Arbor. We went to Seva for dinner and then ambled around town. Alex convinced me to go into a comic book store with him... and looks of amazement on his face rivaled those of his brother the last time he saw a train. He came away with a comic book and a Star Wars puzzle. Bliss. My moments of bliss were when he was so focused on a word search at the restuarant that it consumed him. Jameson, meanwhile, consumed large amounts of delicious bean soup and crackers--almost as much as he got on the table, the chair, and his shirt.



Another evening was spent in the backyard, checking out the flowers and the vegetable garden. And demonstrating Jedi maneuvers.

And tonight, after a shortish day at work, a nice hike for Stefan and Jameson, and the final day of camp for Alex, we prepare for another little adventure. Our vacation continues... this time to Pelee Island!
