Can anyone tell me how it is possible that it has been SEVEN YEARS since this wonderful creature can into my life??
SEVEN YEARS since those first cries and those first sleepless nights.
And look at him now, he's so handsome and confident and so sure of what he wants in life. Legos, legos, and more legos. And a few cinnamon rolls, for good measure.
And still. Seven years since I became a Mama. How is it possible that it seems to have passed in a flash--and yet it seems impossible that he wasn't always part of my life?

Happy Birthday Alex!!! Isn't it unbelievable? Such a paradox -- you can't believe how long it has been and yet you can't believe that you ever didn't know them.
