Me (joking): Baba and Papa are going to come over to watch you and J tomorrow. Daddy and I have to go talk to your teacher about how bad you've been.
Alex (sounding shocked): But I haven't been THAT bad!
Me (my turn to be shocked): But you shouldn't be bad at all!!
Alex (confident): I'm not really. I'm a model student.
Conversation with Jameson:
J: Daddy is AUTUMN!
Me: Daddy is autumn?
J: NOOOO. DADDY IS AUTUMN!
Me: Did Daddy teach you about autumn?
J (getting frustrated): NOOOOOOOOOOOO! DADDY... IS... AUTUMN!
Me (realization dawning): Daddy is awesome?
J: YEAH!! DADDY IS AUTUMN.
(this is what happens when he spends all day alone with Daddy!)
