Lunch date

Jameson usually grazes all day long, rather than sitting down for normal meals. A few bites of his breakfast, a few bites of Daddy's breakfast, a little snack mid-morning... you get the idea. I seem to remember Alex doing the same thing at this age. Our pediatrician at the time just said to make sure all the grazing isn't done on high-sugar, white-flour sort of snacks.

There's absolutely no need to worry about Jameson's diet. Let me explain.

With Stefan's herniated disk, sitting in a chair is very painful. So most of his meals are consumed laying down, like this:

So our little grazer has someone right at his height to steal bites from. And his preference for food? Exactly the same as Stefan's. Spices, salsa... bring on the flavor! In these photos they are eating nachos with refried beans, guacamole and salsa. And Jameson couldn't get enough.

And it seems to suit both of them just fine. Jameson gets nutritious food, and Stefan has a dining partner.

Alex, on the other hand, is still our plain-food-only, make-sure-all-ingredients-are-separate, no-extra-flavor sorta guy. He's also not one to miss an opportunity for a good photo. (Mama, Mama, let me in the picture too!!)

I love that Alex is beautiful posed, smiling nicely, but Stefan and Jameson are so absorbed in lunch that they don't even notice!

Begging your pardon, half of us did notice the photo taking. But chose to ignore it. The one half had hoped that the other would continue to look cute.

My boys are turning out exactly the same, Christine. Cameron is a "no sauce, no spice, no food touching other food" kind of kid. I'd been feeding Matthew the same way until recently discovering that the more flavor, the better for him!

How funny... isn't it amazing how different two boys can be, raised in the same house?
