THE BEACH!

And here we are... at the beach. Lots of fun for everyone.

Here's an outline of my day...
--Early morning yoga (before boys are up!)
--Breakfast
--Answer fifteen questions from Alex on why we aren't swimming yet
(Grandpa finally decides to take him out once Benjamin, Pat and Nicole go in... thanks, Dad!)
--Running
--Struggle into my swimsuit despite being sweaty and yucky and out of breath
--Swimming (join the crew out in the waves... the perfect way to cool off from running!)
--Play with Jameson in the sand
--Outdoor shower (one of the best parts of the beach)
--Lunch
--Try to get boys down for a nap, but Jameson apparently isn't tired yet
--Play with boys in the living room, despite my own fatigue
--Finally get Jameson down for a nap (and get a nap myself!!)
--Pat, Nicole and Benjamin (age 3) entertain Alex
--Play with Jameson in the sand
--Swim with Nicole
--Dinner (made by someone else---yay!)
--Party for the birthday boys (Jameson and my brothers)
--Bed for Jameson
--Read on the porch
--Bed for Alex
--Walk along the beach
--Chat with my siblings and their spouses over some wine
--Read a mystery and then fall asleep

Does life get any better than this?? Lots of exercise, good food, and help with the kids!

Jameson loves the sand and the water---and luckily he is content at times to play in the sand rather than walk straight into the water. (Alex, at nearly two, would run straight into the water!)

Alex is a master swimmer. He doesn't need a whole lot of help... and he loves getting thrashed by the waves. He found a "boogie board" in the garage and has been taking that out into the surf. He needs a little bit of help, but his fascination and thrill is fun to watch.

Okay, time to publish this. Jameson needs some attention and the grandparents are occupied!
