But it wasn’t anything that the combination of good bowl of pasta, a yoga class, and a few minutes of remembering last weekend couldn’t cure.
Here’s a picture of my big brother playing with my little boy. (why is it that the site of one of my brothers playing with a boy of mine is just so darn amazing?)
We had just finished a wonderful Mother's Day Brunch and were spending a few minutes playing in the yard of our family friends before we went our separate ways. Jameson thoughtfully walked over to show us a worm… oh, just look at that pride!
We were still reminiscing about the wonderful wedding we had witnessed the day before. While we missed some family who weren’t able to make it (including Stefan and Alex, who were off at a scout campout), those that were there had a wonderful time watching the groom—the smiling, happy groom—marry his beautiful bride. I've known the groom my entire life and it was fun on so many levels---seeing him so happy, connecting with old friends, and seeing family again.
So the problems don't seem nearly so big anymore, after thinking about more important things. Like the problem of finding only one worm in the sandbox. It might just require burying the poor little guy and finding him again. Over and over. Because next to throwing rocks, looking for worms in the hot new trend.
