Until the fun part started, that is. Splitting logs is much more fun than eating or sitting around a fire. OBVIOUSLY. (when you are a young boy, anyway)
So both boys helped, in their way... Alex helped with some of the splitting while Jameson took a small piece of wood and pretending to saw the other pieces.
"SAAAWWWW.... SAAWWWWWW... SAAAWWWW..." he said.
And Alex chattered non-stop about how hard it was, and various points of technique. He was thrilled, I could tell, to be able to do it and help out Daddy.
And here's our frontier-boy, surveying his work, after a long hard day (err... 20 minutes) of work. You know, the frontier boy with a plastic chair behind him!
