J: YAH!
A: No, you need to pick one or the other.

A: So is Torrie a boy?
J: YAH!
A: Or is Torrie a girl?
J: YAH!
A: JAAAAY! Which one is it? Boy or girl?
J: YAH!
A: So it's a boy?
J: YAH.
A: OKay, we'll have Torrie be a boy. Anyways, he has a mane so he has to be a boy. Can you say "Mane"?
